WELCOME TO CHS SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
The Central High School Special Education department has eleven teachers, two job coaches, and three classroom assistants. Students receive services from itinerant teachers and therapists as determined by their Individual Education Programs.
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL VISION STATEMENT FOR INCLUSION
Central High School faculty, staff and students will work together to create a non-threatening, safe environment in which all students can prosper. As a united staff of caring professionals, our goal is to provide the leadership and support necessary to promote collaboration among parents, educators and students to ensure that all students with or without disabilities have access to an equal and appropriate education. We believe inclusion will be beneficial to our students and are committed to providing a continuum of services to meet their needs. All students will be afforded an equal education regardless of disabilities and will share in the opportunities and responsibilities of the school environment.
LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
Central High School has a classroom for students who receive special education services. This is a setting where accommodations and modifications can be met.
